In this age of social media and sites such as Linkedin, we should all be aware of our image and branding — especially if it’s a site that manages your professional identity.
Here are some tips I have for your Linkedin Headshot:
1. Get a professional headshot; don’t use a picture you snapped from your phone in the bathroom or at various angles. (Recruiters want to see your face, not the reflection of your dirty bathroom).
2. Dress appropriately — no tanktops or t-shirts please!
3. Use backgrounds that do not distract from your face. It should be a solid color.
4. Smile, relax, and be you! The photographer will make sure you look fabulous!
It was a pleasure shooting with Ms. Karen. Goodluck with the job search!!
